[Body Well is] Empowering!

My coach made me feel supported and motivated! What makes this program so great, is we are all moms. We all get it and how not every single day is going to look perfect or can be even close to it. My coach helped set myself up with realistic expectations for diet and exercise that are doable and still body and mind changing that I can continue on with.

I have done the body well program twice now and can easily say my favorite part is the community it builds. You are with the same group of women throughout the 8 weeks and you grow a stronger connection to each mom. We are encouraging one another - it is not a competition - but don't worry if that is your thing your coach will definitely add in some of that for you - we all want one another to succeed and we help each other. From sharing recipes, to protein powder, to workout gear, to maybe just an encouraging word on a hard day - the other moms make the 8 weeks fly by and the physical benefits are a great cherry on top!

I have done [Body Well] now in two very different stages of motherhood and I would encourage any mom to do it in both! From freshly postpartum to almost a year out - I gained so much from each session! I know we all want the physical change - and you will see that - but the mental one is a big piece of this puzzle and your coach will help incorporate both in the 8 weeks. Body well gives you 2 workouts a week of uninterrupted time for YOU! The workouts push you harder than a stroller class, you will get stronger! And having to write down everything you eat definitely forces a shift. If you are a mom wanting a lifestyle change that feels doable and REAL - I would just try it out!

I had two goals for the 8 weeks, one fitness and one nutrition. My fitness goal was to increase my weight training by 5lbs consistently by the end of the program (different exercises had different weight goals). My nutrition goal was to stick to a Hoshimotos Disease friendly diet (anti inflammatory diet) with a focus on protein intake. I would say I crushed it! I lost 10 pounds and inches off body. I feel stronger and more energized! With having Hoshimotos my energy levels are a direct correlation of how I am fueling my body - my coach helped me really focus on making meals with appropriate foods (no red meat, limited gluten, increased grains like quinoa, etc.) while still allowing cheat days because life is life! I have also never felt stronger! I never understood the importance of incorporating weights into your fitness plans and now I get it!! I can carry two kids down the stairs no problem! The weight loss is a huge bonus! I do want to add that after my first body well session, I did not see as dramatic of a weight loss but I do NOT care, because my mental health was saved! After having my first kid I suffered from really bad PPD. I wanted to do everything possible to make sure this did not happen with my second and I owe a lot of that success to body well! You have to find time to be the best version of yourself so you can show up as the best mom! I am very grateful for this program to help make that a reality for me!
